The research unit has been dedicated to the pathophysiology of bone and cartilage diseases. Our aim is to characterize the mechanisms that regulate bone and cartilage remodeling and to identify the molecular targets that result in the development of osteoporosis and osteoarthritis.

The different approaches conducted by the scientists and the clinicians actively involved prompted to the development of tools used from basic to translational research. We have therefore validated molecular and genetic techniques as well as cellular and animal models. The results are then translated in human research through a human biobank of bone and cartilage tissues.
